March 2nd: LCS

March 1st Recap:

LCK: 1 - 0 (+1.0 units)
LCS: 2 - 1 (+1.0 units)

Parlays: 4 - 0 (+5.14 units)

TOTAL: 7 - 1 (+7.14 units)

DragonX handled business and utterly smashed Griffin. FlyQuest had a hairy start but it was immediately thrown back by Dignitas at a dragon fight against Qiyana. She's yet another absurdy high win rate champion that got through the draft. FlyQuest didn't execute the Senna+Nautilus setup as cleanly as some other iterations so far but they managed to make it work well enough to get by along with a ton of help from PowerofEvil who's playing at an MVP level right now. Liquid just completely demolished the passive Yuumi Ezreal bottom lane early with outstanding Taric+Kalista play by CoreJJ and Tactical. Liquid seem to be rounding into form as this game was essentially over after the double kill bottom. This team is so deadly with a lead that they're going to be a nice place to bet against teams that draft passively. We missed out on taking the lottery ticket for CLG which would have paid out but I'm not going to sweat it.

Another oustanding Sunday mostly on the back of our round robin parlay of the three favorites we liked. I've somewhat gotten away from the aggressive parlay betting I used to a lot of success last year. Typically parlays aren't a great fundamental approach but you can pick your spots for sure.

LCS (North America)

Week 5 - Day 3

Cloud 9 -478 vs Dignitas +296
Immortals -207 vs CLG +147

I don't have a lot of faith in Dignitas in their current form to really do much against the good teams in the league and Cloud 9 is no exception. This will be a pass from me but I'll be on C9 for a parlay.

No wager: C9/Dig

Immortals are starting to regress back to expectation. I don't think they're going to completely crash and burn but I do think they're starting to drop off. This might appear to be an overreaction to the near perfect game Golden Guardians handed to them on Saturday but I've been expecting this for awhile now. CLG came up with a nice win against CLG and, as expected, appear to be realizing at least a fraction of the potential we saw in this lineup before the season now that Pobelter has had a week or so to get acclimated. I also think there's a chance that Immortals run out Apollo again as their coach discussed that this was a rest and experimentation sort of move since they felt comfortable that they'd make playoffs. Maybe they panic and we don't see him again after that win but it wasn't really Apollo as much as it was a teamwide performance.

I like CLG with some momentum to take this down.
